2.0 release date confirmed; here is when Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer will hit the theatres

   Akshay Kumar is riding high on success after two consecutive box office achievements and a national award this year. It looks like 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar is all set to rise high in the coming year as well! With two of the most anticipated movies releasing next year, Akshay has already created a lot of buzz ever-since the first look of the films has come to fore. The release date of 2.0 and Gold has been confirmed today. 2.0 releases on Republic day next year whereas latter hits the screen on Independence day. 2017, a year which has been pretty 'jinxed' for Bollywood in terms of its box office performance, Akshay's Jolly LLB and Toilet- Ek Prem Katha not only wooed the audience, but also did a good business at the BO. Akshay who is also celebrating his 50th birthday on Saturday unveiled the poster of his upcoming movie Gold which seems to be based on the journey of the Hockey player Balbir Singh. Prior to this, when the first look of 2.0 was released, Akshay was hardly recognisable in the poster. 2.0 is a very special movie also because this will see the collaboration of two south Indian mega star and Bollywood's Khiladi''. 2.0 releasing on January 26 is a sci-fi thriller where Akshay will be seen doing the role of an antagonist. Other than 2.0 and Gold, Akshay Kumar will also star in Padman which is being produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna and is set to release on 13th April 2018. The biopic is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is famously known as ‘menstruation man’. The film will also feature Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.
