2.0 release date confirmed; here is when Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer will hit the theatres

    Akshay Kumar is riding high on success after two consecutive box office achievements and a national award this year. It looks like 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar is all set to rise high in the coming year as well! With two of the most anticipated movies releasing next year, Akshay has already created a lot of buzz ever-since the first look of the films has come to fore. The release date of 2.0 and Gold has been confirmed today. 2.0 releases on Republic day next year whereas latter hits the screen on Independence day. Akshay has proved his mettle not just once but time and again he has awed his audiences with his performances, innovative promotional ideas and evergreen charms. Given the brilliant response, the first look of these movies have received, the audience is surely counting days for them to release on the silver screen.
2017, a year which has been pretty 'jinxed' for Bollywood in terms of its box office performance, Akshay's Jolly LLB and Toilet- Ek Prem Katha not only wooed the audience, but also did a good business at the BO. Akshay who is also celebrating his 50th birthday on Saturday unveiled the poster of his upcoming movie Gold which seems to be based on the journey of the Hockey player Balbir Singh. Prior to this, when the first look of 2.0 was released, Akshay was hardly recognisable in the poster. 2.0 is a very special movie also because this will see the collaboration of two south Indian mega star and Bollywood's Khiladi''. 2.0 releasing on January 26 is a sci-fi thriller where Akshay will be seen doing the role of an antagonist. Other than 2.0 and Gold, Akshay Kumar will also star in Padman which is being produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna and is set to release on 13th April 2018. The biopic is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is famously known as ‘menstruation man’. The film will also feature Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.

Another Rape victim at Dumka

HIGHLIGHTS •The woman was allegedly gang-raped by 18 to 20 youths aged between 18 and 22 years near a university campus at Dighi in Jharkhand. •Police said the survivor was returning home on a motorcycle with her boyfriend.    DUMKA: A 20-year-old tribal woman was allegedly gang-raped by 18 to 20 youths aged between 18 and 22 years near a university campus at Dighi, 8km from Dumka, in Jharkhand, on Wednesday. Dumka SP Mayur Patel said: "Six suspects have been detained." Police said on Thursday the survivor was returning home on a motorcycle with her boyfriend, not a tribal, from the university campus when they were intercepted by six youths on an abandoned stretch of road around 6:30pm. They allegedly first thrashed the boy for having a relationship with a tribal girl, and asked him to shell out Rs 5,000 as "fine" or hand over his cellphone, police sources said.
